The attacks in Mumbai were horrible, deadly, and I hope, unacceptable.  This may not have happened on US soil, but it seems pretty apparent that these terrorist murders intended to send a message to the world and the last time I checked, that included us.

It can be difficult to accept that Islam is in essence a peaceful religion and the majority of Muslims are “just like us” when something like this happens and the response from their religious community is deafening silence.  If Christians were bombing hotels and killing people, I would be the first to stand and say, “My faith does not tolerate these actions.  I hope the government finds them all and punishes them to the full extent of the law.”

Instead, we sit around and ask, “Why are they so angry with us?  How can we fix it?”  I honestly don’t much care at the moment.  Right now, we need to send a clear message that civilized persons do not act in this way.  And if you’re not interested in being civilized, then you can’t co-exist with us that are.  Unfortunately, I see little chance of anything but our government waving the white flag.  Obama may talk big about Pakistan, but in the end, I don’t think he’ll back up his talk with any action.  He will flake on this campaign promise, just like all the others.

Liberalism bombs Bombay
