Whew, Dr. Williams is at it today:

Why emulate Abe Lincoln?

I get this distinct feeling that as I homeschool my kids and fill in the gaps of my own education, I will begin to see many things in a new light.  But unfortunately for my kids, learning the truth of history (and not just the nuggets textbook authors want us to know) is going to make them look pretty weird to their public school peers and probably a lot of private school ones too.  Like the fact alone that they were homeschooled wouldn’t be enough.  But honesty, as the children of a computer nerd and a science nerd, they never really had a chance at normal anyway, did they?

As a side note, reason #362 I’m homeschooling.
